About Us
PSN College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2001 by PSN Educational and Charitable Trust, Nagercoil at a remote rural village, Melathediyoor in Tiruenveli district. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi under Sec. 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act, 1956. The college is assessed and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. The college is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institution.
PSN College of Engineering and Technology is actively involved in science and engineering research since 2011. Research centres were established in PSN College of Engineering and Technology with a realization of the fact that each modern development has its roots in basic and applied sciences. The college currently offers 9 undergraduate, 8 post graduate programmes. Five departments viz., Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are recognized as research centre of Anna University.
The college offers research schemes for the faculty to take up innovative research projects and also supports research scholars by providing stipends. The final year students can also avail financial support for their project work. The faculty of the research have mobilized research grants from National funding agencies to a tune of about Rupees 4.25 crores and have published more than 200 research papers in peer reviewed journals in the last three years.
